In 1953, a well known film version was made of ‘The President’s Lady’ in light of his 1950’s novel with the same name, featuring Charlton Heston playing as Andrew Jackson and Susan Hayward playing as Rachel Donelson Jackson. In 1960, from his alma mater, he got a privileged Doctorate of Letters from Berkeley.įour of his books have been adapted into movies. He was privileged with honorary awards during his social accomplishments highlighting Italian history. They financed an establishment to bolster philanthropic causes they trusted in.
